Visually, the show falls squarely in the 'competent' range. I’m not going to go out and buy the soundtrack, but it’s not unbearable either. The one solace is that music’s actually not bad. It just makes me wonder why can’t isekai be a sci-fi?
By the time episodes 7 rolling, I just kind of drained by the lack of creativity of this world has to offer. It just generic fantasy setting with monster, human, medieval architecture, swords and magic so on and so forth I feel like if you’ve seen one fantasy anime, you’ll have seen them all. The worldbuilding is not exist at all dare I say. The last two episodes attempts to shakes things up by adding darker tone but it using cheap death cards but it was kind of jarring transition because lots of characters and setting aren’t really fleshed out. As a result, you’re not gonna get anything memorable from the series. There's not a good characterization either, as a lot of characters seem to be empty.

there's little character development on a series that's exclusively based on characters. This show’s cast is just weak and uninspiring. There’s quite amount of action or explosion going on but the consequence of having so many action scenes it that you have less character development scenes. From the get go it was kind of slice of lifey with the protagonist meet new characters, dealing with troubles they found along the road, solved it with their ridiculous superpowers for gags, in merely one or couples’ episodes. Speaking of the plot there wasn’t much of it I guess. The harems always easily triggered by jealousy and that’s supposed to be funny, everyone being shocked and surprised that the main characters overpowered or getting rare item was also supposed to be funny, that is so much for creativity. Most of the time the jokes just repetitive and unfunny. They used it for gags and It’s a running gag that happens throughout the series but this combination just never works. A clueless and dense isekai protagonist you’ve seen numorous times before. Who would have thought? it just so happens aswell that the MC are incredibly bland with nothing. Naturally, they have big boobs, and even more naturally, they are the source of 95% of the show’s fanservice. Keeping the spirit of isekai stories, it’s just not complete without harems wanting to jump on the MC. So, from here on everything just went back to the old formula, once the novelty wears off, what you have left is a pretty boring show. The main guy could hide ugliness with a mask and he can even speak with human through magics. By the time you get into the old college ‘three episodes rules’ the gimmick has severed.
Unfortunately, it really wasn’t convincing enough. Isekais are a dime a dozen, so you do need Remember that SpongeBob episodes where everyone ‘s running away from him because he had a smelly breath? that’s the kind of gimmicks that the show goes into. So, what’s the tweaks here? Apparently in exchange of his superpower our hero was reborn not as a human, so to speak: he’s incapable of speaking human language, the other gimmicks is that he was cursed to be so so ugly to the eye of humans. Here we go again with another isekai with super powerful MC to dive into, but to keep things fresh, we need tweaks. In a world where the goddess herself has barred him from interacting with his kind, it is up to Makoto and his companions to fulfill his desire-and perhaps reform society along the way. Nevertheless, despite this success, Makoto still yearns to meet fellow humans. He meets various demihumans and mythical beings who all end up being captivated with his characteristics and join Makoto in building a new community where all of them can peacefully coexist. Disdainfully giving him the ability to understand all languages except the human language as compensation, the goddess drives Makoto off to the farthest edges of the wasteland, far from human civilization.ĭue to the disparity between Earth and this new world, Makoto's inherent physical and magical capabilities awaken, making him extremely powerful. However, the deity deems Makoto to be "hideous," refusing to even lay eyes upon him and revokes his heroic title. As part of a mysterious contract agreed upon by a goddess and his parents years ago, Makoto Misumi finds himself sent to another world to meet the goddess and become the hero.
